Storyline:
The film follows Gopi (Gopichand), who travels from Italy to Hyderabad to reunite with his love, Sameera (Kavya Thapar). However, a series of events soon reveals that Gopi is not who he appears to be – he is actually Viswam. The story then unravels the mystery of Viswam’s true identity, his connection with a little girl named Darshana, and his mission to protect her from terrorists. How are Viswam and Darshana connected? Why does he take on the identity of Gopi? These questions unfold throughout the movie, keeping the audience intrigued.
Positives:
Gopichand shines in the role of Viswam, delivering a powerful performance with notable emotional depth and impressive action sequences. His chemistry with Kavya Thapar in the romantic scenes also adds to his charm. Kavya impresses with her glamorous screen presence and complements Gopichand well.
Jisshu Sengupta, who plays a pivotal role, once again proves his acting skills. The scenes between Jisshu and comedian Sunil bring a dose of entertainment. The ensemble of comedians, including Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Pragathi, VTV Ganesh, and Prudhvi, ensures a steady stream of laughter. The mind games between the protagonist and antagonist lack the intensity needed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Furthermore, the flashback sequence could have been more impactful.
Despite the well-executed comedy, the overall narrative feels lackluster, especially in the latter half. Sreenu Vaitla’s reliance on his usual filmmaking style results in a predictable and formulaic approach that detracts from the film’s potential. A tighter screenplay and a more formidable antagonist could have elevated the movie considerably.
Technical Aspects:
Sreenu Vaitla’s direction is visually appealing, but the screenplay lacks the gripping nature required to sustain audience interest. Music by Chaitan Bharadwaj is decent, with an engaging background score that complements the action sequences. K.V. Guhan’s cinematography deserves praise for its stunning visuals, adding a grand feel to the movie. However, the editing by Amar Reddy could have been crisper, as several scenes drag unnecessarily.
