“Ravanasura,” directed by Sudheer Varma, marks the return of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja to the silver screen in an action-packed thriller. With an ensemble cast including Ravi Teja, Sushanth, Anu Emmanuel, and others, the film promises to shock audiences with its unexpected twists and turns.

The story revolves around Ravindra (Ravi Teja), a junior lawyer working under the renowned criminal lawyer Kanaka Mahalaxmi (Faria Abdullah). When Harika (Megha Akash) seeks Kanaka Mahalaxmi’s help in defending her father (Sampath Raj) in a murder case, Ravindra becomes involved. As the plot unfolds, it reveals a series of interconnected murders and a mysterious perpetrator.

Highlights of the film include Ravi Teja’s captivating performance, particularly in his portrayal of a complex, morally ambiguous character. The first half effectively blends comedy and suspense, with the pace picking up significantly after the introduction of Sushanth’s character.

While the film boasts strong technical aspects, including impressive background music and cinematography, it falls short of its pre-release hype. The plot twist in the second half feels predictable and fails to deliver the promised shock factor. Additionally, the tempo slows down, and the inclusion of songs disrupts the narrative flow.

Despite its shortcomings, “Ravanasura” offers moments of entertainment, driven largely by Ravi Teja’s compelling performance. While it may not exceed expectations, it remains a partly engaging crime thriller worth watching for fans of the genre. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
