Review of “Nindha”

Nindha,” featuring Varun Sandesh, was released today. Here’s our review.

Plot:

The film follows Vivek (Varun Sandesh), who kidnaps a sub-inspector, a doctor, a lawyer, a constable, and two civilians. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Vivek is seeking answers about the arrest of Balaraju (Chatrapathi Shekar) for a murder in Kandrakota. The movie explores questions about Balaraju’s identity, the victim, Vivek’s motivations, and the connection between the hostages and the village’s events.

Highlights:

Varun Sandesh delivers a noteworthy performance, stepping out of his comfort zone. His exploration of more complex roles could reinvigorate his career.

Chatrapathi Shekar, Tanikella Bharani, and Annie stand out with their performances, and the supporting cast contributes adequately.

Drawbacks:

While the film starts with an engaging premise, it begins to lag before the interval and struggles to maintain momentum in the second half.

Director Rajesh Jagannadham’s storytelling shows promise, but the latter half of the film needed more refinement. A stronger, more polished second half could have significantly improved the film.

The interactions between Varun Sandesh’s character and the hostages lack the intensity needed to maintain suspense and drama.

Despite Varun Sandesh’s solid performance, he needs to improve his diction for more impactful delivery of serious lines. Characters like Surya, Bhadram, and Sidharth Gollapudi could have been fleshed out more, and Shreya Rani Reddy’s role feels inconsequential to the plot.

Technical Aspects:

Rajesh Jagannadham, in his directorial debut, presents a compelling concept but falters in screenplay execution and dramatic elements. Better execution could have led to a more successful film.

Santhu Omkar’s music is decent, though the song placements are not ideal. Ramiz Naveeth’s cinematography is adequate, and Anil Kumar’s editing could be improved to maintain audience engagement. Production values are satisfactory.

Conclusion:

Overall, “Nindha” offers an interesting storyline but falls short in execution. Despite Varun Sandesh’s commendable effort to take on a new type of role, the film’s issues with its second half, character development, and pacing make it a forgettable experience.
