Synopsis:
In “Amigos,” Siddharth (played by Kalyan Ram), residing in Hyderabad, explores the intriguing world of doppelgangers. His quest leads him to discover not one but two lookalikes, setting off a series of events intertwined with romance, suspense, and unforeseen revelations.

Kalyan Ram delivers a tour de force performance, commanding the screen with his portrayal of three distinct characters. His versatility shines through as he embodies the personas of Siddharth, Michael, and Manjunath with finesse and conviction. The film boasts moments of intrigue, particularly in the second half, where tension escalates between key characters, captivating audiences with its narrative twists.
Ashika Ranganath makes a promising debut in Tollywood, complementing Kalyan Ram’s presence with her grace and performance. Brahmaji adds a comedic touch, while other supporting actors contribute effectively to the ensemble.
However, despite its intriguing premise, “Amigos” falters in its execution. The screenplay fails to fully capitalize on the potential of the doppelganger concept, resulting in uneven pacing and missed opportunities for heightened drama. The first half lags with sluggish momentum, lacking the necessary momentum to engage viewers fully.
Furthermore, the absence of compelling twists and a predictable narrative trajectory diminishes the impact of the film. Ghibran’s background score, while competent, falls short of enhancing key moments, and the editing could have been tighter to alleviate pacing issues.
